Birthdays always tend to evoke a bit of reflection for me. I enjoy reflecting on the hardships, the accomplishments & all the things that got me to where I am today. As I enter a new decade, I can’t help but think about the last decade which has included starting LPE in 2015, graduating college, living in another province for two years, recreating the brand behind LPE, and so much more. Although there were many great accomplishments, there were hardships along the way, too.

I decided I was celebrating my 30th birthday in the best way possible, with my closet gal pals and family. It’s not very often I get to create something for myself, so I may have splurged on a few things that I normally don’t get to. My guests were able to walk away with a custom mini cake favour, with a champagne and strawberry flavour from The Dessert Room! Bright and bold colours were a key factor I wanted to showcase, and Emily and Liana from Evyrose Design Co created beautiful floral arrangements to complement the luxe teal velvet linens from Special Event Rentals. It’s your day, and you’re allowed to feel special. Go big, and celebrate you!
